Private Lesson
A great way to receive one on one instruction with one of our very talented instructors. Private lessons allow you the opportunity to work on the dances of your choice, your lead and follow skills and the style of your dancing. Lessons
All private and group lessons are 50 minutes long. We make every effort to start and end lessons on time.
Private lessons are by appointment only. Group classes are held at published times; no appointment is necessary for group classes.
In order to help us keep accurate records, please sign in for all private and group lessons. Sign-in sheets are kept at the front desk.
Cancellations
Because your appointment is reserved exclusively for you, a deposit may be required to hold your appointment(s). We ask that you notify us at least 12 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any cancellation made with less than 12 hours notice will result with a private lesson deducted from your account. No-shows are also charged at full price.
Group Classes
We do not have regular group classes open to the public.
Beginning Group classes are held Monday through Thursday as a supplement for students enrolled in private lessons. The teaching is based on the steps and techniques taught in the private lessons.
Each Friday night, we do offer a "warm-up" class which is open to the public and is free with paid admission to the Friday night party. This half-hour group class starts at 8:30 and covers a different dance each week. Click here to see a schedule of planned classes for the next few months.
We can arrange a special group class for your family, club or church group. Take your lessons at DanceMakers or have a teacher come to you! Contact us.
Refunds
DanceMakers understands that sometimes events beyond your control prevent you from completing your planned course of lessons. If you have bought a package and you need to discontinue your lessons, any unused lessons on your package will be cheerfully refunded after the lessons used are deducted at the regular (non-package) rate.
Facility Rental
The space is available for rent on Saturdays or Sundays only, and we can hold a maximum of 175 people.
The fee is $475 for 3 hours and $85 for each hour after that. We need a non-refundable deposit to reserve your date. This $150 deposit is deducted from your total rental fee. There is also a $200 damage deposit paid separately. If the damage deposit is not needed, it will be refunded 14 days after your party.
You may bring in a caterer and/ or a DJ, and decorate the morning before your event. Since we are a working dance studio during the week, please understand that we can not allow smoking, smoke machines, bubbles, confetti, birdseed, rice or anything that could cause slipping or scratching on our hardwood floors (even in the parking lot, since things get tracked in.)
